Rail Europe adds new Benelux and Eastern Europe connections

Booking platform Rail Europe has added new connections in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Hungary and Denmark to its array of routes available to B2B partners.

The expanded content is now available to book through agencies and tools using Rail Europe’s RailAPI, RailFlash and RailPortal connections.

This includes access domestic Belgian rail services as well as international routes to and from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, in addition to new routes within Hungary, Denmark and the Czech Republic, the company said.

Jürgen Witte, chief product and technology officer at Rail Europe, said the new routes and fares “further enable us to offer more flexibility and choice for our customers”.

Earlier this month, the company also launched a new group booking option, which it said “simplifies” rail bookings for groups of 25 travellers or more. Known as RailGroupEasy, the feature provides “personalised services and additional options to enhance group travel experiences”.

This follows the introduction, a year ago, of its multi-carrier booking feature, which allows agencies to compile multiple legs of a rail journey with different providers under a single booking.

Based in Paris, Rail Europe provides content from 200 rail providers such as SNCF, Eurostar, Trenitalia, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe and UK train operators.
