Rail Europe, the leader in European train bookings, is thrilled to announce an important event in Bangkok, spearheaded by Richard Leonard, General Manager Asia & Pacific. This initiative marks a strategic effort to strengthen Rail Europe’s foothold in the Southeast Asian markets. The event focuses on enhancing market presence, forging ties with principal travel partners, and scouting new opportunities within the region.

During his stay, Richard Leonard will collaborate with travel agents and engage both trade and consumer media to share insights on Rail Europe’s upcoming ventures, cutting-edge innovations, and recent advancements in European rail travel. He will also use this occasion to acknowledge and appreciate the longstanding cooperation and efforts of key partners.

In a significant development, Rail Europe is introducing its eagerly awaited Rail Itineraries e-brochure. This electronic brochure presents a meticulously selected collection of four, seven, and 15-day rail travel plans across Europe, catering to both single-country and multi-country explorations. Designed to aid travel advisors in crafting memorable European rail holidays, these itineraries encompass themes such as history, art, culture, gastronomy, natural scenery, and uniquely European adventures, featuring experiences in quaint, quirky, and medieval settings. The brochure highlights a range of destinations across Europe, including the UK and Ireland, France and Monaco, Spain and Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany and the Benelux countries, Scandinavia, Greece and its islands, Central Europe, and extensive multi-country tours.

” We are excited to deepen our engagement with the Southeast Asian market and offer valuable resources that inspire and assist travel advisors,” says Richard Leonard, General Manager Asia & Pacific of Rail Europe. “Thailand, despite a slow start post-pandemic, has demonstrated maturity and resilience, with 2023 sales doubling compared to 2022. In 2024, we’ve already seen an increase year-to-date compared to 2023, and we expect to exceed our 2019 sales by the end of the year.”

Furthermore, Rail Europe is launching a B2B contest exclusive to Thai agents, challenging them to create their ideal Swiss travel itinerary. This contest, which extends through the end of July, offers participants the chance to win their dream trip. It is being promoted across Rail Europe’s channels and through a targeted campaign on Facebook.
