Singapore Airlines to increase European flight frequencies

Singapore Airlines is set to increase flight frequencies on routes to multiple European cities in 2025, citing increased demand.  

From 30 March 2025, the carrier will operate a daily service between Singapore and London Gatwick, up from the current five-times-weekly service, which was launched in June. Together with its four-times-daily flights to London Heathrow, this will see the carrier operate five daily services to the UK capital.

Services to Rome will also increase to five times a week between 26 June and 28 August 2025, up from the current four weekly flights. 

The carrier also plans to delink its three-times-weekly Singapore-Milan-Barcelona service from 24 June to 7 September 2025 in order to operate more direct flights to the two respective European cities. This will see the launch of a five-times-weekly direct service between Singapore and Barcelona, up from the current two weekly flights. A direct service to Milan will also operate daily during this period, up from four-times weekly as per the current schedule.

These capacity adjustments – along with additional flight frequencies to Australia, South Africa, Vietnam and Cambodia – will see the carrier suspend services from Singapore to Houston via Manchester from 1 April 2025. However, its five-times-weekly service between Singapore and Manchester will continue, according to the carrier.

“Singapore Airlines regularly reviews our network and routes to align our capacity with demand,” said Dai Haoyu, acting senior vice president marketing planning at Singapore Airlines.

“These adjustments, ahead of next summer, cater to the higher demand to several destinations, particularly during the traditional mid-year peak travel season, enabling our customers to confidently make their 2025 travel plans,” he added.
