SNCF and SNCB launch new Paris-Brussels link
SNCF Voyageurs and SNCB, the national train operators of France and Belgium, this week launched a new rail link between Paris and Brussels.
The new service operates three times daily (in each direction) between Brussels-Midi and Paris Gare du Nord stations. Departures are scheduled in the morning, at midday and in the early evening for a total journey time of three hours.
Stops on the route include Mons station in Belgium, and Aulnoye-Aymeries and Creil in France.
The new OUIGO Classic service, first announced in 2023, will rival current high-speed connections between the two capitals with “very competitive rates”, according to SNCB.
Fares start from €10 with a maximum price of €59 per ticket, and vary depending on train occupancy. Tickets include one piece of hand luggage as well as one piece of cabin luggage.
SNCB and NS this week also commenced a new high-speed service between Brussels and Amsterdam.
