Travlr ID and Midoco partner on traveller profiles
Midoco Group has partnered with traveller identity network Travlr ID to make the latter’s blockchain technology more accessible to travel management companies.
The partnership combines Travlr ID’s blockchain-based identity management, which won the BTN Group’s Innovation Faceoff in 2023, with Midoco’s profile automation solution Umbrella Faces.
The companies explained that Umbrella Faces will “build the bridge” between Travlr ID’s network and the current booking technology used by TMCs to “redefine” traveller profile management.
Travlr ID CEO Gee Mann said the collaboration “signifies a turning point in the evolution of traveller profile technologies”.
“By fusing Travlr ID’s product approach with Umbrella’s industry expertise, we’re set to unlock a new era of how traveller profiles are stored, transferred and enhanced with greater data,” he said.
The companies, in a statement, said the collaboration aims to set new industry benchmarks and “enhance the overall landscape of travel technology”.
Helmut Pilz, SVP at Umbrella Faces, added: “Together, we will push the boundaries of what is possible in traveller profile management. This partnership is not just about creating innovative solutions; it’s about redefining the very essence of the traveller profile and what it enables.”
In a separate announcement on Wednesday (23 October), the Midoco Group also unveiled a series of updates to its midoffice platform. These include ‘revamped’ navigation, the ability to generate virtual credit cards, additional accounting options and a new Ratehawk push interface that allows agencies to use the tool across multiple units or collaboratively across multiple agencies.
