VOSAIO expands footprint with the acquisition of Operation Europe – Travel Weekly

Leading European destination management company, VOSAIO, has announced the acquisition of Operation Europe as part of its ambitious growth strategy.

This move strengthens the DMC’s position within the global travel industry, particularly its ability to serve B2B partners in key markets including North America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Operation Europe’s portfolio complements VOSAIO’s existing client base. The acquisition opens new opportunities for growth in these key regions, while allowing both companies to share best practices and increase operational efficiencies across their global networks.

With 36 years of experience delivering high-quality tailored tours across Europe, Operation Europe has built a stellar reputation within the travel industry. The company’s solid expertise, combined with its established presence in key global markets, perfectly complements VOSAIO’s existing offerings and innovative solutions. Tom Barrett and Jeremy Hawes, Operation Europe founds, will continue to play an integral role in the business to ensure continuity and leverage their wealth of experience in delivering first-class service.

The acquisition represents an exciting chapter for VOSAIO, expanding its portfolio and tour capabilities to further strengthen its position in the global travel industry and aligning with its ongoing expansion plans to help fuel the company’s next phase of growth. As part of BGF-backed VOSAIO, this acquisition is a key step in advancing the company’s mission to revolutionise its global reach.

VOSAIO’s innovative technology and supplier partnerships, paired with Operation Europe’s complementary services and well-established customer base, creates even greater synergies and allows the company to provide a new level of service to its B2B partners.

“We are excited to welcome Operation Europe into the VOSAIO group,” VOSAIO CEO, Marting Knuepfer, said. “This is a pivotal step as we expand our reach and strengthen our service offerings in key international markets. The combined strengths of our teams will allow us to deliver even more innovative, data-driven solutions to our clients and partners.

“This acquisition strengthens our commitment to offering world-class, tailored group travel solutions to our travel trade clients, and enhances our global footprint, particularly in markets such as Australia and New Zealand. Together, we will continue to drive innovation and excellence in the travel industry as well as improved customer experiences and unparalleled service.”

With this acquisition, VOSAIO adds 29 talented staff members based in the UK, Europe, and New Zealand to its growing team. The shared bespoke group travel expertise between VOSAIO and Operation Europe creates an even more robust platform for delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions.

Operation Europe continues to operate as a separate unit but will closely integrate with VOSAIO’s existing operations system. Over the coming months, VOSAIO will explore synergies and combined buying opportunities to further enhance the value and service it provides to travel industry partners. This acquisition is expected to unlock new growth potential, with both companies exploring combined offerings, with an emphasis on innovation, quality, and operational excellence.
