Who Is Behind Charley Hull & Co’s Outfits at Solheim Cup 2024? Team Europe’s Apparel Explored

The Solheim Cup is finally upon us for the second time in a row. Some of the best American and European golfers will compete for the Cup at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia. What is more exciting than the showdown itself? The custom-designed uniforms! This year too, after the successful 2021 and 2023 collaboration, European golfers such as Charley Hull, and others will be sporting PING apparel.

The Ladies European Tour (LET) unveiled the much-anticipated outfits on their official website. and dare we say, the colors white, yellow, and blue looked very pretty and fierce. Fiona Reilly, Global Creative Director of PING Europe, said that the team at PING has “worked closely with Suzann Pettersen, Team Europe Captain, to ensure that the uniform will inspire and make the athletes feel proud to be representing Europe.”

What will the European team’s uniform look like this year?

Captain Suzann Pettersen was instrumental in making the kits, working closely with the brand. PING released 3 kits for the 3-day event, with striking, elegant designs and various unique features. On their website, the LET stated that the day one kit is one with a classic European feel as it includes a jacket that is hybrid and in stylish white and has ‘Team Europe’ printed down the right sleeve, ensuring players look smart on and off the course.

Day two will feature outfits with star tape details on the arms, giving a sporty look. The outfit can be paired with a bucket hat or cap with a centered Solheim Cup logo, which will be in a shade of metallic gold around the blue ‘Team Europe’ band.

For the final day, the PING has designed a polo shirt and vest with a striking yellow star detail on the back. The final-day outfits feature yellow trims along the zips – under plackets, collars, and pockets – for a modern and sleek finish. This year’s outfit is more special for Team Europe, and we are going to tell you why.

Why is Team Europe’s apparel special for 2024 Solheim Cup?

Fiona Reilly also stated that the kits have a unique feature to motivate players, stating, “We’re excited to see the team wearing this year’s outfits, with all styles featuring the Team Europe logo – the three stars representing the last three consecutive victories for Team Europe. There’s also a smaller star in the letter ‘O’ of the word ‘Europe’ to help motivate the team to hunt down a record fourth consecutive victory.”

She also shared that PING has made sure that the garments look good and feel good too. The feedback that PING received from the last two collaborations has been positive, and one thing that was been praised enough is how comfortable the fabric of the uniforms is. PING has done the same this year too.
