Yotelpad makes European debut with London property

Yotel has debuted its Yotelpad extended stay brand in Europe with the opening of a property in London.

The 62-room Yotelpad London Stratford has been designed to “challenge traditional aparthotel spaces”. It features rooms or “pads” with workspaces as well as kitchens or kitchenettes for guests who are staying for periods of up to a month or longer.

The property in east London also features Yotel’s Mission Control reception area, which includes digital stations for guests to check in, as well as a grab-and-go refreshment area, laundry and storage space.

Yotel has already opened its first two Yotelpads in Park City, Utah, and Miami in Florida, as the company looks to attract longer-staying guests.

Hubert Viriot, CEO of Yotel, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming our first guests at Yotelpad London Stratford this week, and to debut the brand outside the US for the first time.

“It marks an exciting step for us, as we target growth for the Yotelpad brand globally, to meet the surging demand for flexible, extended-stay accommodation worldwide.”

The new-build London hotel has received an “excellent’ rating from certification body BREEAM for the sustainability of its design, with initiatives such as occupancy sensors to control lighting, air source heat pumps to provide hot water and solar panels. The property also features bird and bat boxes to support biodiversity in the area.
